Rainfall Criteria In City of Dhaka, Bangladesh
For the past few days, ANALYST members were working with rainfall data's collected from different stations throughout Bangladesh. This assignment was a part of our current Project 2.1, Rainwater Harvesting & Effective Drainage System. Our goal was to establish several graphs using the data's to see the current rainfall situation in Dhaka City (We are still working on the other major cities) and this is what we got in result:
It is very shocking that, since 2007, the graph is representing a continuous downward slope. Although there was a slightest change in 2011 and 2013 but then again the line tends to follow the decreasing pattern. Unfortunately we had only few data's of year 2015 (till June). So, we were unable to establish the graph for 2015. From here we can already see the effect of climate changes. Now, we will try to determine the future situation and see if our rainwater harvesting project will result positively or negatively.
